Claire Reid

Claire is a strategic and practical risk professional with expertise spanning enterprise risk, business continuity, health and safety, emergency management, and sustainability. Her career includes operational leadership and project delivery across New Zealand, Australia, and the United States, with a standout tenure at Tourism Holdings Limited (thl). Claire brings a grounded understanding of real-world organisational challenges and expertise designing systems that are both effective and enduring.


At thl, Claire built and embedded the global enterprise risk register across ten business units and three regions, established emerging risk protocols for issues such as climate change and COVID-19, and collaborated with executive leaders on targeted mitigation strategies. She also co-designed a global online training platform, delivering risk, ethics, and wellbeing education to over 400 employees, as well as improving organisational capability through scalable, consistent learning.


Claire’s values-based approach is underpinned by her grounding in sustainability. She has led key initiatives aligned with the Future-Fit Business Benchmark, contributed to social and economic sustainability workstreams, and conducted community impact assessments for busy, complex operations. Her ability to simplify complexity, engage stakeholders, and embed resilience enables her to support clients in navigating uncertainty and achieving strategic outcomes.
